Journaling

Her morning routine is to get up, feed the cat, make tea (or coffee if it's one of those mornings), write in her journal about her dreams from the night before (if she remembers them) or plans for the day or random revelations or angst, and then have breakfast.
Her cat, Beau, is an avid window gazer.

Striking Awareness

First in series of three oil paintings.
I had this vision, as I was flying from NY to California, that my loved ones and me were stuck in boxes, beautiful boxes, but stuck none-the-less. Then a golden cloud appeared (I think I was looking out of the airplane window) and Monkey was there, The Monkey King, in multiplicity, attacking all of our locked boxes, gonging and resonating us out of our stuckness.
Later I thought that this vision needed to be painted and expanded upon. Aren't we all "boxed in" at some point? Don't we all need to learn to live outside "the box"?

Compassion and Deliverence

Kuan Yin with a sword is symbolic of a more ruthless aspect of compassion. True compassion is not all peaches and cream. Sometimes it comes as a slap in the face, a questioning of status quo. True compassion can be like a surgeon with a scalpel, cutting out disease or malfunction with the intent to heal.

Sphinx Passage

What The Fox Knows

Contemplating Progress

This began as foxman looking down at Marysville and Yuba city from Bald mountain. But I got carried away with the lights down in the valley (central valley of California). However, this was good, because it made this more "any place". I've had people tell me its just like looking at LA from the hills or Denver... And as for foxman, everyone thinks he is coyote. So maybe he is. Or maybe he isn't.
